Victorian Aluminium and Safety Glass Verandas With Round Post Design
This is our traditional glass veranda. It is built out of aluminium finished using a high quality power coating process. The panes are 6mm toughened glass to give the most durable construction.
It incorporates spandrels (ornamental corner pieces) with interesting details to give the structure a traditional Victorian look. It can be finished in any colour you choose. Please see our colour chart.
It is great to have a beautiful glass patio awning in your garden to extend the living area of your home.
In towns such as Cheltenham were there is a tradition of glass verandas the casual observer will note that they are usually installed without guttering. If there is a shower the water trickles off the roof and drops to the ground to join the rest of the rain on its journey to the nearest drain. This system works very well except in a cloud burst which can produce a cascade of water from the edge of the roof making it uncomfortable to walk into the dry area which is being protected by the glass veranda.
To deal with this situation guttering can be installed under the eves of the glass awning with a guide chain. Water will then flow from the edge of the roof to the end of the gutter where it falls down the chain which can be used to guide the water. There will no longer be a waterfall from the edge of the roof in heavy weather.
